Who We Are
Design Systems Canada Ltd. (DSC) is a Canadian Corporation whose primary product is to provide its clients with value added, qualified engineering - technical personnel and services required to assist in, or prepare, an efficient manufacturing process / plant layout, inclusive of all service utilities and material handling facilities, at the lowest initial cost.
Design Systems Canada Ltd. was incorporated in the province of Ontario in 1990 to provide our Canadian clients with engineering personnel familiar with and conversant in the applicable Canadian and Provincial laws, rules and regulations required to be complied with.
Specific requirements or needs as they relate to Professional Engineering services in Ontario or Canada, Pre Start Heath and Safety Reviews (PSR’s), TSSA registration and inspections, Canadian / Provincial electrical codes and certifications and electrical special inspection requirements, to name a few, are dealt with by engineering/technical staff who work within these guidelines, daily.
Our Canadian corporate office is located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We are registered with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and currently have a group of personnel consisting of a combination of Professional Engineers, B. SC. Engineering Graduates, Technologists, Technicians and clerical/administrative staff, in various engineering disciplines.
Personnel & Clients
Our personnel have extensive knowledge in material handling products and principals as well as process and program management in varying markets. This variety of technical talent has positioned us as a leader in Manufacturing and Facilities design engineering on programs spanning the globe. Our “Walls In” capabilities provide our clients with complete facilities design capabilities and complete program competency.
Our primary client list is made up of companies involved n the manufacture of Automotive, Automotive Related, Textiles, Paper, O.E.M., Tire/Rubber, Wood, Food, Pharmaceutical, Appliance, Heavy Equipment, Stamping, Distilleries etc., virtually any product manufacturing facility, who’s engineering staff may not have sufficient time or all of the areas of expertise necessary, to assemble the data required to produce a viable, cost effective work place layout for a new or revised plant or process. Typically these firms do employ their own engineering staff whose specific responsibility is for the on going - day to day operation of the facility. They cannot devote either the time required, or their limited resources to a new, sometimes lengthy, program. In this instance Design Systems personnel act as an extension to the clients existing engineering group.
In other instances our clients are merely in the “planning” or “budgeting” stage of their planned project in which case Design Systems supplies the technical/engineering expertise to assemble all aspects of the process’s facility and material handling requirements acting as part of the clients forward planning team.
In either instance we provide value added, cost effective, outside services /supplier solutions to the development, and implementation, of your facilities projects or programs.
